Inside

Through the flesh, past the bones
Do you see me?
Do you see me?
Can you decipher the heart beats?
Do you know what breathes inside of me?
Do you hear the hundred voices in my head?
Can you tell what they are whispering quietly?
If I take off my skin, will it scare you?
Will you close your eyes to what you’ll see?
Will you walk the endless tunnel, through my eyes?
Can you let me out? If I let you in?

  2. Your poetry is truthfully simple. Very melancholic; with no pretense or artifice.

"Melancholic" not in the popular sense of 'emotionally dejected' but having a sweet bitter element of human sadness about it.

It is poetry from the gut. You give meaning to simplicity by letting your feelings speak for your words. That indeed is your strength; the real wind beneath your wings.

You are so explicitly honest with your expression and feelings that it encourages the avid reader to let go of any egoistic concerns and to drift along with the novelty of emotion rather than the nobility of words.

Last four lines deserve a commendatory oration in applause. Very well done!
